Rental / Lease Agreement

Welcome to Belhasa Rent a Car

We’re thrilled you’ve chosen us for your transportation needs in the UAE. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable rental experience, please review the following terms and conditions carefully.

This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the rental of vehicles from Belhasa Rental Cars (“Belhasa”). By renting a vehicle from Belhasa, you (“Renter”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Renter and Belhasa Rental Cars with respect to the rental of the vehicle.

Eligibility
  • Renter must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license issued by a recognized authority.
  • Renter must present a valid credit card in their name for security deposit and payment purposes.
  • Renter must provide proof of insurance (if applicable).
Rental Requirements
  • UAE Residents:
    • Valid UAE Driving License (minimum 12 months old for CDW coverage)
    • Copy of Passport with valid resident visa page
    • Copy of Emirates ID
    • Copy of valid credit card (front side)
  • Non-Residents:
    • Valid credit card
    • Valid International Driving License
    • Valid Passport with visa entry stamp
    • Driving Eligibility: Tourists from select countries (see below) are generally permitted to drive with their valid local driving license:

GCC Countries, US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Netherlands, Greece, Sweden, Romania, Belgium, Ireland, Turkey, Denmark, Portugal, Austria, France, Great Britain, Norway, Luxembourg, Republic of China

Rental Period & Rates
  • Rental period begins and ends at the specified times on the rental agreement.
  • Rental rates are based on the type of vehicle, rental period, and any applicable surcharges.
  • Late returns will incur additional charges as per the late return policy.
Vehicle Condition
  • Renter is responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear.
  • Renter agrees to report any existing damage to the vehicle on the rental agreement.
  • Renter is liable for any damage to the vehicle caused by negligence or misuse.
Fuel Policy
  • Vehicle shall be returned with the same fuel level as received, or a fuel charge will be applied.
  • Renter is responsible for any fuel costs incurred during the rental period.
Payments & Charges
  • Currency: All prices are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED).
  • Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and cash payments.
  • Pre-Authorization: A pre-authorization hold will be placed on your credit card to secure the rental.
Delivery & Collection
  • Within City Limits: AED 80 for pick-up and drop-off.
  • Inter-Emirates: AED 80 per pick-up or drop-off.
  • Monthly Rentals: Delivery and collection within city limits are free of charge.
Salik Charges
  • Salik charges (road tolls) will be applied at AED 5 to 7 per crossing and are subject to change without prior notice. These charges will be added to your final invoice.
Fines & Traffic Violations
  • Traffic Fines: You are responsible for all traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
  • Administrative Fees: A 10% administration fee will be added to the value of each fine.
  • Renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations or fines incurred during the rental period.
  • Traffic fines will be charged to the credit card on file.
Accidents
  • In case of an accident, Renter must immediately notify Belhasa Rental Cars.
  • Renter must cooperate fully with any investigations related to the accident.
Towing & Recovery
  • In case of vehicle breakdown or accident, towing and recovery services may be arranged at Renter’s expense.
Insurance & Protection
  • Full Comprehensive Insurance Coverage is included in the rental charges.
  • Additional insurance options may be available for purchase, such as collision damage waiver (CDW) and personal accident insurance.
  • Renter is responsible for any damages not covered by insurance.
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):
    • Reduces your liability for accidental damage to the vehicle.
    • CDW is highly recommended.
    • Important:
      • CDW is not applicable in cases of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, racing, off-road driving, towing, or any other activity against UAE law.
      • A police report is mandatory in all accident cases.
  Insurance Excess:
    • The amount you are responsible for in case of an accident.
    • CDW significantly reduces or eliminates your insurance excess liability.
Vehicle Impounding
  • If the vehicle is impounded by authorities for any violation, you are responsible for all impounding charges and any loss of rental income to Belhasa Rent a Car.
Child Safety
  • We recommend pre-booking child seats to ensure availability.
Geographical Limits
  • Vehicles are permitted for use within the geographical boundaries of the UAE only.
Mileage Restrictions
  • Daily: 250 Kms
  • Weekly: 1750 Kms
  • Monthly: 4500 Kms
  • Excess Mileage Charges: 1 AED per extra kilometer.
Violations of Law
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, racing, off-road driving, towing, or any other activity against UAE law is strictly prohibited.
  • In case of such violations, you are fully liable for all damages to the vehicle.
Cancellation & Refunds
  • Cancellation policies vary depending on the rental agreement.
  • Fees may apply for cancellations made within the cancellation window.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed to the original payment method.
Governing Law
  • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Amendments
  • Belhasa Rental Cars reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
Severability
  • If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from the remaining terms and conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
No Smoking
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited within the rental vehicle.
  • Violation of this policy will result in a cleaning fee.
Important Notes
  • Driving without a valid UAE Driving License while residing in the UAE is a violation of the law.
  • Please ensure you have the necessary documentation before renting a vehicle.

Disclaimer
  • Belhasa Rental Cars shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from the use or operation of the rental vehicle.
  • This disclaimer does not limit Belhasa’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
